The NEARS Spring 2010 Conference will once again be held at the beautiful HOTEL VIKING in Newport, RI.

The event will be held from April 21, 2010 - April 23, 2010.

Registration opens at 5 PM Wednesday April 21, 2010
Networking Reception starting at 6 PM and Dinner on your own.
We conclude our conference on Friday April 23, 2010 at Noon.

The Theme for our 167th meeting is
"Freight Transportation in the New Decade, Revival or Survival?"

All of our panels will discuss how they are moving forward in today's current economic environment.
The Spring 2010 agenda is currently being finalized but we are already pleased to announce the following panels and participants:

*Class 1 Rail Panel: with representatives from the Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern, CSX Transportation, and many more

*Shippers / Receivers Panel will feature speakers from Rail-Ex, BASF, Tropicana / Pepsi and Rawson Materials

*The Financial Update with the return of Jason Seidl and Tony Hatch

*Featured Luncheon Speaker-Matt Jacobson

*A Rail Security Panel with Department of Homeland Security representative, an International 3PL, and a World Class International Shipper.

*Intermodal returns with Shippers and 3PL updates from Sappi, NA, Norske Skog (USA), Ocean Spray and Walsh Transportation Group

*Short Line Panel with Pan Am Southern, SMS Rail, and Genesee & Wyoming and New England Central RR.
